Manly Beach

Hey everyone!

So, last week I introduced you to the iconic 'Bondi Beach', but this week I'll open your eyes to another Sydney icon: Manly Beach!

Manly beach is amongst the Northern Beaches of Sydney and was home to the world's FIRST surfing competitions in 1964. So how can you get to this lovely place? It's as easy as hopping on a ferry from Circular Quay which will drop you to the Manly ferry dock in about 30 minutes! Whether you're there for the water or for the view there is plenty to do! Here are a few of my top suggestions (click on the link for more details:

1. Walk the Manly to Spit Walk: 10km scenic coastal walk that should take around 3-4 hours to complete the track.

2. Learn to Surf: I recommend top rated Sydney Surf School for individual or group lessons (all ages).

3. Climb the Grotto Point Lighthouse: Located on a headland near Dobroyd Head you'll find the 'Disney-like' lighthouse which was designed in 1910 by Maurice Festu.

4. Relax in the Fairy Bower Sea Pool: This is a 20-metre rockpool which was built by locals in 1929.

5. Wine and Dine at the Corso Restaurants and Bars: Click the link for the highest rated places to eat and drink in Manly.

Of course, just like Bondi Beach, most of the restaurants and bars in Manly continue into the night for your enjoyment!
That's all from me for now, I hope you find yourself traveling to Manly one day and try some of my top-rated things to do!

Until next time,
Jessica
