El Camino Cantina, The Rocks
Sunday the 5th of May is Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican
tradition, celebrating the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. Whilst a trip to Mexico was out of the question, the best way to celebrate without leaving Sydney, was to go to El Camino, a popular Mexican bar, located in The Rocks.
To celebrate the occasion, they had a wide variety of specials including $7.50 margaritas and free corn chips. The margaritas came in six different flavours, the most popular being Classic and Mango. They also had a chilli eating competition, which resulted in many beads of sweat upon the contestants face.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of The Rocks. This means its a short stroll from one of the best views in Sydney, looking across the harbour at the Sydney Opera House. It also means you are in a nightlife hotspot within Sydney, within a short walk to many of Sydney's clubs.
Being Cinco de Mayo, El Camino Cantina was packed full and was a fun night out for everyone there.
